I read your last post on being unsure about Library school/a career in librarianship, and I wanted to send you a note to say that your concerns or self-doubt are normal! Don’t let your peers make you feel like you should compromise your personal interests to read LIS literature instead :P Librarians don’t always know everything, or care about everything in the LIS world. I love being a librarian, but I also have a life, and it’s impossible to keep on top of everything out there to do with my job. Just take a deep breath and finish school, and be passionate about your passions, LIS-related or not! :) You’ll be great!)

Cue massive sigh of relief. This is exactly what I needed to hear—thank you so much! Also, know that after you “liked” my post, I ended up reading your tumblr for a good hour and a half (I’m also getting my MA in Creepin’) and was thrilled to find insightful and hilarious content about way more than just librarianship. Thanks again for the note, you’re an absolute dear!
