The life and times of Alyssa Vincent, a library science student. |
OK, maybe not. But taking web design does make me freak out just a touch. FTP clients, DNS…just when I thought I couldn’t hate acronyms anymore. However, I’m also taking collection development and metadata, both of which amount to all sorts of nerd-tastic fun. Also, this term is special for another reason: it’s my second to last one! Nowhere near as fun as the last term, but 2012 marks the year that I’m set to graduate and leave the Northwest. Portland has been extremely good to me and the boyfriend, but it’s time to return to our icy, Midwest roots. Personally, I’m psyched to escape the rain, live somewhere that has a vacancy rate of higher than 1%, be closer to family, and start my “real”, non-school life. Even if my “real life” amounts to nothing more than sitting around in my underwear while I apply for jobs eight hours a day and bemoan the fact that it’s hard out there for an MLS pimp while I eat Nutella out of the jar.
